The Tourist Information Centre sells day permits for the Drummond Beat, the Upper Strowan Beat (both managed by the Crieff Angling Club) and the Lochlane and Laggan Beats on the River Earn (which also has fully equipped fishing huts, with help and advice available from a full-time fisheries manager).

The newsagent, A Boyd, in King Street is a mine of information regarding the local fishing and sells relevant equipment.
