Welcome to our home. On approaching the house in Crieff, you are well and truly welcomed - with the mosaic 'welcome' sign embedded in the pebbles. As you would soon see in visiting our home, mosaic is Katy's latest passion, and bit by bit she is filling up all the spaces available with little shards of china.

The entrance hall offers a place to hang up wet coats, dump dirty walking boots and borrow the often too necessary umbrellas - although Crieff does seem to have a micro climate, and we are sure that we get the most Scottish sunshine!

The hall beyond the glass-etched window allows guests access to the public rooms - the dining room and guests lounge. There is a mosaic of a full breakfast on the wall as well as two old photographs of the Drummond Castle Gardens and the Sma Glen, which Katy found in a flea market.

The stairs, complete with brass stair rods, are often described as 'shallow', and are easily managed by those who have difficulties with 'steep' stairs.

The Dining Room, with the fireplace covered by plants galore, and CDs and books cluttering the shelves, the atmosphere created is one of informality. Guests are encouraged to sit around the dining table and swap their holiday experiences.

Katy and David have worked for many years in the hospitality industry, and so you are assured of a well-cooked and well-served meal. David currently works two days a week as a chef at the Scotland's world renowned Gleneagles Hotel. The menu are fabulous and many guests return for the delicous food! - Again elephants are peeking out from unexpected areas!

The bedrooms all have ensuite facilities, and are individually appointed, offering excellent bed and breakfast accommodation. The accommodation is suitable for families, for couples and we welcome people visitng Crieff on their own.

Galvelmore House 'B and B' has been awarded a Special Commendation for Exceeding Customer Expectation by Glenturret Distillery and has recieved an accrediation from the Scottish Tourist board.

All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms or ensuite shower rooms each has it's own character.

The Purple Room - luxury bedroom with ensuite with super king sized bed! Our largest and grandest room, which would once have been the ladies morning room, overlooks the garden and over the hills towards Ben Chonzie and Ben Vorlich. Through the side window, and over the roof tops, on a clear day, you can even see to Drummond Castle. Its main feature is the super-king bed, with art nouveau headboards skilfully made by Allan Craig, a local craftsman. These can be separated, if necessary, into twin beds.

The tartan settee in the room, gives you an opportunity to relax and watch TV, but it also becomes a bed suitable for children. The room is en-suite, with a shower and toilet facilities.

The Yellow Room - double bedroom with ensuite looking out at the front of the house, this double room blends oriental with American crafts. Decorated in yellow and green, the furniture is pine, with a magnificent old pine dresser. There is a combination of Auntie Colina's gloves in frames, a tapestry, an original watercolour of a red poppy, Chinese prints and Chinese umbrellas over the en-suite room.

The Darjeeling Room - twin bedded bedroom with spacious ensuite bathroom with a large shower. This room glows with the afternoon sun such is the colour on the walls. It is a twin-bedded room, which again overlooks the garden. All the furniture in this room is antique. The large wardrobe will give you a lot of space for your possessions, along with the matching dressing table.

Some of the pictures in this room are somewhat obscure, finds of Katy's in flea markets from Amsterdam and Edinburgh. In addition, one of Katy's few finished pieces of needlework - one that she has not put out to her mum for completion! The en-suite bathroom has a very spacious shower and toilet facilities.

'A great "B and B" we appreciated the relaxed atmosphere, superb accommodation, excellent Scottish food and terrific hospitality.'
