Strathearn Recreation Centre The Centre deserves a section all to itself - there is a 20 metre heated pool, 3 court sports hall (equipment such as badminton rackets etc can be hired) and a fitness suite providing the latest cardiovascular and resistance exercise equipment. Karting Noah's Ark Indoor Karting, at Glendevon Farm, Perth (telephone: 01738 445568) offers indoor karting for the over 7's. Soft Play Sorry, strictly for the children! Locally, the Ceramic Experience has a small soft play area, which can be used whilst adults enjoy their cappuccino, or while the paint is drying on painted plates. Noah's Ark, at Glendevon Farm, Perth (telephone: 01738 445568) has a specially equipped children's softplay barn, with separate areas for the under 5's and the 5-12's. Great for a rainy day! Falconry Perthshire Falconry Services at Braco (01786 880539) offers the complete novice (of which the majority of us are!) the opportunity of handling, flying and hunting with one of the largest collections of trained eagles, hawks, falcons and owls in Europe… be warned, it is quite expensive, though somewhat unusual. Off-Road Driving Crieff Hydro Hotel Off-Road Centre (telephone: 01764 651617) allows you to test your driving skills in a 4x4 vehicle over 40 acres of mixed terrain, with an instructor guiding you all the way. Under 17's can be driven round the off-road course, and over 12's can try rally karting. Scotia Off-Road Leisure Activities, at 2 Redhills Farm, Tibbermore (telephone: 01764 683391) offers off-road driving, rally karting, quad bikes, argocat driving. They also offer other outdoor pursuits such as abseiling and gorge walking. Other Sporting Activities: Tennis Courts are available for hire in the MacRosty Park, which also have a pitch and putt course, and trampolines. We will happily lend you the racquets and balls.
